About Lakefront

Hey, I'm Chris. I run Lakefront Web Design.

I was born and raised in the suburbs, spent a little over a decade of toasty summers in Austin, then moved back home to live on the north side of Chicago to be closer to family after our daughter was born.

I've been a professional web developer for over 5 years now and have worked on a variety of projects from e-commerce and marketing sites, to full-scale web and mobile apps. After moving back to Chicago, I became enamored with the different neighborhoods, each with their own unique identity and charm. Being able to walk down the block for a cup of coffee or a haircut, go trick-or-treating down a street full of restaurants and shops, or add to our seemingly endless collection of plants at the local nursery made me realize how impactful local businesses are in shaping the feel of our communities.

I started Lakefront to find a way to get involved with the community and bring awareness to all of the great local businesses peppered throughout the city. Owning a businesses has enough challenges as it is.
